Blessed Are The Peacemakers 2

Are you a peacemaker or a fighter? Peacemaking should be a believer*s way of life. There are very few circumstances in which a peacemaker should contend or wrestle.

Jude 1:3: Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Ephesians 6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Matthew 5:9: Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Notice that the passage says that we should earnestly contend for the faith. It does not say that we should angrily contend for the faith. Blessed are is in the present tense and shall be called is in the future tense. Blessings now and blessing later. Some definitions of blessed: Supremely blest; fortunate, well off: happy and happier.

Peace is all over in the Bible and if we have received Jesus it should be all over in our lives. We have peace with God and the peace of God. And we should live peaceably with all men.

Romans 5:1: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Philippians 4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Romans 12:18: If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Colossians 3:15: And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Job 22:21: Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

Romans 15:13: Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

2 Corinthians 13:11: Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Philippians 4:9: Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

2 John 1:3: Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

2 Peter 1:2: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

Galatians 5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

If the Lord hasn*t given you peace and taken the sinful fight out of you, you need to do some more business with Him.
